While everyone has been talking about Stamkos and the Sedins, and less now but Crosby. Who would have thought thought that Corey Perry, and to a lesser extent Martin St Louis would be replacing Nicklas Backstrom and Alex Ovechkin at the top of the scoring race. Yet those two guys haven't been talked about near enough, not even close to the amount of talk around the Sedins and Stamkos, and still sometimes Crosby. Martin St Louis has managed 91 points with about 5 games left on the schedule, 91 points is good enough to be tied for second place with Henrik Sedin. Those 91 points also put him ahead of Stamkos by 3 points. While in Corey Perry's case he is fourth in points with 89 and is on top of the goal scoring race with 46 goals which puts him 2 goals and one point above Stamkos.
I have nothing against the Sedins, Stamkos or Crosby, in fact all of those players are some of my favourite players, and they are all having terrific seasons (too bad Crosby's had to be ruined, but I already addressed head hits in a previous article) but now it is time to acknowledge that Corey Perry and Martin St Louis are in that group now too.
Come on, the Sedins rule the world.
