Philadelphia Trades

Two crazy trades the day before the draft for Philadelphia. Philadelphia freed up some cap in these trades to sign the goalie Ilya Bryzgalov. 1 trade to LA and 1 trade to Columbus.
Philadelphia won the trade to LA getting Brayden Schenn and Wayne Simmonds, while giving them Richards and a 2nd round pick. I think that Simmonds will be a great 2nd/3rd line player and Schenn will be a first line player with more offensive flair then Richards. Richards is a better leader, but Brayden Schenn is also a fantastic two way player.
This is a no lose trade, both teams are winners. Philadelphia appears to be taking a younger approach now, and they get a #8 overall pick, Jakub Voracek and a third round pick. Voracek is a 20 year old, former #7 overall pick who has the potential to be a star play maker. In Columbus's they get Jeff Carter. A star center man. They have been looking for star center men to play on Nash's line for years, they finally get it in this team. So a win win trade.

Will be interesting if the trades continue onto the draft.
